About the role
The United Nations Resident Coordinator Office in Minsk is seeking an Associate Data Specialist to support the implementation of data systems that enhance statistical efficiency and quality. The role contributes to the UN 2.0 transformation by working with internal and external partners on data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Implement databases, data collection systems and analytics to improve statistical efficiency.
- Identify, analyse and interpret trends using statistical methods and structured data sources.
- Clean, acquire and maintain data from primary and secondary sources, ensuring data quality.
- Develop reports, dashboards and visualisations to communicate findings to management.
- Support capacity‑building activities, including trainings and workshops on data analytics.
- Track progress of department data initiatives and compile insights for stakeholder communications.
Required profile
- Advanced university degree (Master’s) in computer science, data science, statistics, applied mathematics or related field (or Bachelor’s plus two years experience).
- Minimum two years of experience translating business requirements into technical data solutions.
- Proficiency in English (required) and Russian (required); Belarusian is desirable.
