Programmatic Optimization, Media Trader

About the role

Delve Deeper, a performance media agency, is looking for a highly analytical, hands-on programmatic trader focused on optimization. You will spend your time in the platforms and in the data, monitoring campaigns, finding what drives results and making changes that improve performance. You will work closely with a Programmatic Strategist, who sets the broader direction and works with the client; your focus is on campaign execution, analysis, testing and turning performance data into clear recommendations. This is not a client relationship management role.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day campaign execution and optimization across programmatic platforms, applying a start/stop/scale approach and adjusting bids, budgets, frequency and placements.
• Identify and fix low-quality inventory and inefficient spend, and monitor pacing and budgets closely.
• Build and run tests across audiences, creative and inventory, and use results to understand which audiences and messages drive engagement and donor actions.
• Export and analyze campaign data, comparing platform results with client CRM and backend data in Excel to assess donor quality, retention and predicted lifetime value.
• Share clear, concise findings and recommended actions with the Strategist, flagging risks, unusual results and opportunities early.

Required profile

• Experience managing and optimizing programmatic campaigns.
• Experience with platforms such as DV360, The Trade Desk or Amazon DSP.
• Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and nested formulas.
• Detail-oriented, curious and persistent, willing to dig into raw data and spreadsheets.
• Comfortable working behind the scenes with a Strategist rather than owning client relationships.
• An interest in nonprofit or mission-driven work.
