Service Sales Engineer – West

About the role

The Service Sales Engineer drives aftermarket revenue growth by building customer relationships, identifying service opportunities, and delivering solutions that improve equipment reliability, performance, and uptime. Acting as Leybold’s primary aftermarket sales representative for the assigned western territory, the role focuses on expanding service revenue through maintenance programs, repairs, upgrades, service agreements, field services, and spare‑parts sales.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory sales strategies to increase market penetration, revenue growth, and customer retention.
• Promote service agreements, preventative maintenance programs, repairs, upgrades, retrofits, field services and spare‑parts solutions.
• Analyse the installed equipment base to identify lifecycle risks, modernization needs and replacement opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with maintenance, reliability, operations, procurement and engineering stakeholders.
• Conduct customer visits to assess equipment performance, understand operational challenges and propose service solutions.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, service agreements and business cases that demonstrate measurable customer value.
• Collaborate with equipment sales teams, applications engineers, service operations and customer care to deliver exceptional experiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience selling industrial equipment, technical services, aftermarket solutions or reliability‑focused products.
• Strong commercial acumen combined with technical understanding of equipment lifecycle management.
