About the role

Aprotec Engineering is looking for an Automation Engineer to join its international projects. The role suits both seasoned professionals and recent graduates with a basic background in electrical engineering, automation, or related fields. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of control systems, from drafting technical specifications to commissioning and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Develop software for Siemens controllers using TIA Portal and for SCADA systems.
• Participate in on‑site commissioning, including signal testing, logic verification, and start‑up.
• Integrate subsystems into a unified industrial automation solution.
• Collaborate with technologists, electricians, and designers to align solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation and provide training to operators and maintenance staff.

Required profile

• Higher technical education in energy, electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics or a related discipline (incomplete degrees accepted for junior candidates).
• Understanding of industrial equipment such as pumps, valves, sensors, and frequency converters.
• Basic programming knowledge (Structured Text, Ladder Logic) and willingness to learn quickly.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and work with technical documentation.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Responsibility, initiative, result‑orientation and good communication skills.
