Lead Java (with C) Developer – Cloud PBX

About the role

Net2Phone, a provider of unified cloud communications solutions, is looking for a Lead Java Developer with a C background to help build and scale its cloud PBX solution. The role is open to remote work as a B2B contractor or to on-site/hybrid employment in Belarus or Moldova.

Key responsibilities

• Implement SIP proxy features in Java/C while respecting high availability and scalability
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and take part in product planning and sprint backlog meetings
• Own the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to coding, deployment and maintenance
• Develop and maintain technical design, architecture and troubleshooting documentation
• Analyse stack traces, crashes, memory issues and performance bottlenecks
• Implement patches, backports or enhancements directly in Asterisk source code and develop custom C modules when needed
• Work with Linux systems (systemd, networking, tuning, kernel parameters) and cloud environments (GCP preferred)
• Participate in architecture decisions and design Asterisk dialplans

Required profile

• At least 7+ years of production experience with large-scale deployments
• Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated, initiative and responsible; able to act as technical lead
• Good level of English (B2 or higher)
• Willingness to work cross-team with backend developers, infra/DevOps, QA and product owners

Required skills

• Java and C
• CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD and Maven
• Relational databases, especially MySQL, including schema design, migrations and query optimisation
• Linux, networking and cloud environments
