ML Middle/Senior Engineer (Trading)

About the role

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to design, develop, and evaluate predictive models for financial markets. The role sits at the intersection of quantitative research, machine learning, and real‑world trading constraints, contributing to alpha generation and risk modeling.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and validate machine learning models for financial time series and cross‑sectional data.
• Conduct research on alpha signals, feature engineering, and predictive modelling techniques.
• Design experiments and backtesting frameworks with statistical rigor.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production pipelines.
• Analyze model performance, stability, and robustness under changing market conditions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of relevant experience with strong Python skills.
• Hands‑on experience with tabular/time‑series data and ML ecosystems such as AWS SageMaker and MLflow.
• Solid understanding of supervised learning, feature engineering, model evaluation, overfitting, regularization, and cross‑validation.
• Experience with large datasets, efficient data pipelines, and SQL querying.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly in English.
