Programmatic Optimization, Media Trader

About the role

Delve Deeper, a performance media agency, is looking for a highly analytical, hands-on programmatic trader focused on optimization. You will work in the platforms and with the data, monitoring campaigns, finding what drives results and making changes that improve performance. You will work closely with a Programmatic Strategist, who sets the broader direction and works with the client; this is not a client relationship management role.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day campaign execution and optimization across programmatic platforms, applying a start / stop / scale approach
• Adjust campaign settings, bids, budgets, frequency and placements, and monitor pacing and budgets
• Identify and address low-quality inventory and inefficient spend
• Set up and run tests across audiences, creative and inventory, and use results to understand which audiences and messages drive engagement and donor actions
• Export and analyze campaign data, comparing platform results with client CRM and backend data, and use Excel to assess donor quality, retention and predicted lifetime value
• Share concise findings and recommended actions with the Strategist, flagging risks, unusual results and opportunities early

Required profile

• Hands-on experience managing and optimizing programmatic campaigns
• Experience with one or more programmatic platforms such as DV360, The Trade Desk or Amazon DSP
• Ability to analyze detailed performance data and explain it in practical terms
• Detail-oriented approach to campaign setup, pacing and naming conventions
• Interest in nonprofit or mission-driven work

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, nested formulas and data cleanup
• Comfortable working behind the scenes with a Strategist rather than owning client relationships
