Software Engineer Intern – Backend Development

About the role

As a Software Engineer Intern at MKS Atotech Minsk you will join the backend development team, contributing to existing systems while learning best practices in modern software engineering. You will work in an Agile environment, building reliable services that support the company’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend components using Golang and C++.
• Maintain and extend existing codebases.
• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality.
• Use Git for version control and participate in code reviews.
• Operate in a Linux‑based development environment.
• Troubleshoot software issues and fix bugs.
• Document development processes and decisions.

Required profile

• Basic programming skills in Golang and C++.
• Understanding of core object‑oriented programming principles.
• Familiarity with Git and basic Linux command‑line usage.
• Knowledge of unit‑testing concepts.
• Strong willingness to learn backend development.
• Responsible attitude toward tasks and deadlines.
• English proficiency at B1 level or higher.
