Accountant

About the role

Rakuten Viber is looking for an Accountant to support its accounting function in an international environment. The role covers accurate and timely processing of accounting documents, maintenance of accounting records, and assistance with financial and statutory reporting. It works across fixed assets, materials, business travel expenses and payroll-related reporting, and supports the month-end closing process.

Key responsibilities

• Process and maintain primary accounting documents, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely processing.
• Maintain accounting records for fixed assets, intangible assets, materials, business travel and representation expenses.
• Prepare statistical and payroll-related reports for social protection funds and authorities.
• Assist in preparing financial and statutory reports.
• Support the month-end closing process so that accounting records remain complete and accurate.
• Assist with reconciliations and other activities needed to keep accounting records accurate.
• Support the Chief Accountant at all stages of the accounting process.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to collect and verify documents and information, and help resolve documentation discrepancies.

Required profile

• 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Familiarity with HR administration and personnel record-keeping.
• Availability to work in a hybrid model, with at least 3 days a week in the office.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of accounting principles and experience across different accounting areas.
• Proficiency in 1C:8 (Human), Excel and Word.
• English sufficient for professional communication.
• Strong attention to detail, organization and communication skills.
