Lead Full-Stack Engineer (Node.js & Vue)

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Full-Stack Engineer to shape the next generation of our restaurant Point‑of‑Sale platform. You will work with a distributed engineering team to build highly‑available services that power kitchen displays and staff interfaces used in fast‑paced retail environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver new restaurant‑facing services from data model to API to UI.
• Extend and harden existing production services while maintaining stability.
• Ensure correctness under concurrency, including transactional integrity, idempotency and graceful handling of network drops.
• Implement queueing, background jobs and event‑driven flows for reliable asynchronous processing.
• Drive safe roll‑outs that affect tens of thousands of users.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to define features, not just implement them.
• Provide technical direction, conduct code reviews and mentor engineers.

Required profile

• 8+ years of full‑stack development experience, with senior ownership of projects.
• Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript across the full stack.
• Strong understanding of REST API design, micro‑services, and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
• Comfort with non‑relational stores such as Redis or MongoDB and caching strategies.
• Experience with message queues/streaming systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kinesis, SQS, BullMQ).
• Front‑end proficiency with Vue (React or Angular acceptable) and progressive web app patterns.
• Real‑time UI development using websockets (socket.io preferred).
• Excellent debugging skills and ability to work with unfamiliar codebases, including PHP components.
