HR Administration Specialist & Legal Counsel

About the role

Mapbox is seeking a versatile professional to manage full‑cycle HR administration while providing legal support. The role blends HR operational duties with contract and labor‑law advisory, ensuring compliance with Belarusian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle recruitment, terminations, vacations, staffing, timesheets and HR reporting.
• Draft, manage and amend employment contracts and other legal agreements.
• Oversee absence management for payroll, including sick leave and vacations.
• Automate HR processes and record‑keeping using the 1C system.
• Develop local HR regulations, job descriptions and related documentation.
• Issue employment certificates, references and maintain military records.
• Ensure labor protection and fire‑safety compliance with outsourced support.
• Provide legal assistance for business trips and correspondence with government agencies.
• Advise management and employees on labor‑law matters and act as a legal counsel substitute for leases, supply contracts and service agreements.
• Stay updated on relevant legal changes and support the Operations team on complex tasks.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of Belarusian labor and military registration laws.
• Legal background preferred, with at least one year of HR records management in a 100+ employee company.
• Experience with the 1C module and HR process automation.
• Strong document‑drafting skills, especially for HR records.
• English proficiency at least A2 (B1 preferred).
• Highly responsible, detail‑oriented and able to provide two professional references.
